Saw 3D

Watched With: My Brother @ The Cathay (15/01)
Snacks: None
Genre: Gore / Horror

The Final Chapter.

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) is dead and his widow Jill Tuck (Betsy Russell) is still being hunted down by the new Jigsaw, Detective Mark Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), in order to silence her and her secret forever.
She runs to Internal Affairs officer Matt Gibson (Chad Donella) to try and expose Detective Hoffman's involvement in the killings.

Elsewhere, self-help guru Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery) is being put through a Jigsaw test of his own and must come to grips with his reality.

But, somehow, there is a hidden player in all of this.
Is Jigsaw really dead? Or does his legacy truly live on?

Well they claim this will be the final chapter.
I really hope so.
We've all enjoyed the Saw series and even though they have gradually gotten more and more stale, we have to admit - we enjoyed them.

And it is evident in this (final) installment that their ideas are on their way out and creativity is obviously lacking.
So maybe this might be the best way to finally finish off the series.

Thanks Saw.

Little Fockers

Watched With: Mr Baps Saigon @ Cathay Cineleisure (05/01)
Snacks: None
Genre: Comedy

"Focker!"

Greg and Pam Focker (Ben Stiller & Teri Polo) are now full-blown parents themselves and moving on with their lives happily.
Jack and Dina Byrnes (Robert De Niro & Blythe Danner) have reached a new stage in their lives too now looking to a proper retirement while Bernie and Roz (Dustin Hoffman & Barbra Streisand) are... well... busy with their own things.

But when a new girl at work Andi Garcia (Jessica Alba) shows up everything is thrown in a tizzy and with Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson) back in the picture, suddenly raising the kids is harder then it really is.

Sorry but I think this franchise should have stopped after the first movie.
2nd one was still tolerable. But this one was an obvious milking of ideas (not a cat).
If they come up with another one I'm not watching it.

Or so I said about this one.
