Prom Night

Times Watched: 1
Watched With: Nobody @ Home (31/07)
Snacks: Cheezels and Dr Pepper

Donna Keppel (Brittany Snow) is being tormented by memories of her past.
One of her teachers, Richard Fenton (Johnathon Schaech) has gone all lovey-dover-psycho and decided to kill her entire family.

Fast-forward 3 years later and Donna now lives with her aunt and uncle and it's time for -jeng jeng jeng- her senior prom.
So it's off to the prom with her boyfriend Bobby (Scott Porter) and her friends Lisa (Dana Davis), Ronnie (Collins Pennie), Michael (Kellan Lutz) and Claire (Jessica Stroup).

The only problem is our boy slasher Richard has escaped from jail (perfect timing!!) and now Detective Winn (Idris Elba) races against the odds to try and prevent the past from replaying itself.

This movie is supposed to be a remake of the a 1980 movie with the same name starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Leslie Nielsen. But the director says that "the only similarities between the 2 movies is the title".
Then don't call it a remake lah bugger. Call it a rip-off.

One of the problems with this movie is that it starts off showing you exactly who the slasher is and so you know exactly what's going to happen.
Most of the time when this happens then you'd expect to see either some violent gore scenes or at least some gratuitous nudity.
There is neither in this movie. None at all.

Is it my imagination or have there been A LOT of crappy movies lately.

Final Verdict:
