Inception

Genre: Sci-Fi / Drama / Mystery / Action

"What's the most resilient parasite? An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.
Which is why I have to steal it."

Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is an expert in dreams.
He specializes specifically in 'dream espionage' in a way and can manipulate your mind so that you won't even know the difference between your dream and your real life.
Together with his team Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Ariadne (Ellen Page), Eames (Tom Hardy) and Yusuf (Dileep Rao), stealing secrets through dreams is now a lucrative business.

Businessman Saito (Ken Watanabe) hires Cobb and his team for a job involving tycoon Robert Fischer, Jr. (Cillian Murphy) but the difference is that instead of stealing something from his mind - he wants them to plant something in it instead.

And with such a complex job and high stakes at risk, it is up to Cobb and his team to come up with the most elaborate and challenging plan ever.

Okay I'll just go straight out and say it.
This movie was a masterpiece in so many ways BUT it's also the kind of movie where some of you will go "Wow" and some of you will go "What the fuck?".
The film's weakness lies in its strength - it is a little too clever at times.

Such an interesting and intricate idea has so many facets that you tend to lose yourself in the movie. And there is also so much talking and explaining that you as the viewer may either feel that they are either giving you the best insight into what s going on or that they are just making no sense and taking you on a wild merry-go-round.

Christopher Nolan is being his usual self here.
Very intense with a few turns here and there (well what did you expect from Nolan?).
The cinematography and the special effects in this movie were spectacular.
They constructed a world and a vision that bends not only your mind but also is visually stunning and so ambitious that it leaves you under the movie's compelling spell.

Well if you liked Nolan's previous outing 'The Prestige' then you'll most probably like this one too.
(Oh and look out for another Nolan alumni Michael Caine as Cobb's father Miles.)

Final Verdict:

Spot on! Can I just say too that Joseph GL's freaking amazing in this movie! His fight scenes where there was no gravity was fantastic. I mean Leo is just Leo. Enough said.
