G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra

Watched With: My Snooqums @ Cathay EHub (07/08)
Snacks: Seafood Basket & Iced Lemon Tea
Genre: Action / Adventure

Go Joe! Oh no.

The future of weapons is the nanomites. Developed by James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston) and the target of terrorists who want to use it to take over the world.
Duke (Channing Tatum) and his army buddy Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are ambushed by the terrorists and Duke realizes that they are led by an ex-girlfriend Baroness (Sienna Miller),evil henchmen Storm Shadow (Byung-Hun Lee) and master of disguise Zartan (Arnold Vosloo).
And apparently the Baroness wants revenge on Duke for getting her kid brother Rex (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) killed in action.

But in step in the G.I Joe forces to help save the day.
So together with Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Breaker (Breaker) and ninja Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and led by General Hawk (Dennis Quaid) the Joes rush to save the day before the evil forces can succeed in their plot to take over the world.

Seems like a pretty mediocre review right?
Well it was a mediocre movie.
Yeah sure the action sequences were pretty good actually. But everything else was pretty lame.
ESPECIALLY the fact that it seemed like a mini-reunion of the cast of The Mummy on screen again.

Well Stephen Sommers IS the director.
So I guess that can justify seeing Arnold Vosloo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and even Brendan Fraser in a cameo in this movie.
I was just waiting for Rachel Weisz and that guy with the beard from Deuce Bigalow to show up.

It actually wasn't as bad as I had expected.
But you might wanna wait for the DVD on this one bub.

PS Snake Eyes rules.

Final Verdict:
