No Strings Attached

Watched With: My Snooqums and Mr & Mrs Porno @ FilmGarde KLP

Adam (Ashton Kutcher) and Emma (Natalie Portman) seemed destined for each other.

Since they were teenagers and well into their working lives, they seem to keep bumping into each other.
But with Adam's work on a TV show and Emma as an intern at the local hospital, their schedules prevent anything from progressing.
So they come up with a plan - sex with no strings attached.

And it works for them.
But as always, someone has to develop feelings and the need to want more.
And in this case, it's Adam. Much to the disdain of Emma.

Oh. And Adam's dad, Alvin (Kevin Kline), is sleeping with his ex-girlfriend.

So can such a torrid arrangement possibly develop into true love?

I was not really sold on the plot.
Seems like something too simple or maybe because it's just plain boring.
In fact there's another movie with an exact plot coming soon (Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis).

Not many laughs for me.
Maybe because I know how much of a dumbass both Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman can be but did not show in this movie.

In fact I think the best part of the movie was that the lead character's name was 'Adam'.

Final Verdict:
