I'll stick to Golden Axe.

It is the year 2034 and Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) has built alternate portals for people to live out their fantasies. His mind-control technology is ground-breaking and allows humans to control or be controlled.
In Society, people get to control their avatars (who are actually mind-controlled actors).

But his 2nd creation Slayers is more brutal.
For a fee, people get to control death row inmates in battlefield deathmatches.
Kable (Gerard Butler) is his #1 star and is 3 matches away from gaining his freedom.
His motivation - his wife Angie (Amber Valletta) and his daughter.

But Castle cannot afford to lose his leading star and tries to thwart his freedom by introducing new psycho-slayer Hackman (Terry Crews) into the mix.
But several including Kable's buddy Freek (John Leguizamo), a group of rebels known as the Humanz led by Humanz Brother (Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges), talkshow host and Castle-critic Gina Parker Smith (Kyra Sedgwick) and human controller Simon (Logan Lerman) are on Kable's side and want to see the mighty Castle fall.

Sounds good right? Wrong.
I really expected to see an action movie. Kinda like Death Race or The Running Man or something where the lines were clearly drawn and you just enjoy the action.
But there was just too much going on to be honest. And it was pretty poorly organized if you ask me.

They tried to make a film when they should have just made a movie.
No need to be so cerebral when it comes to death matches bub.

Final Verdict:
