A Christmas Carol In 3D

Watched With: My Snooqums @ The Cathay (21/11)
Snacks: Iced Lemon Tea
Genre: Animated / 3D

Bah. Bum hug. I mean. Humbug.

Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) is a miser and a bitter old man.
He hates people. And her hates Christmas even more.
He is so bitter that he is not even on cordial terms with his only worker Bob Cratchit (Gary Oldman) and his own nephew Fred (Colin Firth) whom he shuns when invited for Christmas dinner.

7 years after the death of his business partner Jacob Marley, he is visited on he night of Christmas eve by the ghost of Marley and the 3 Ghosts of Christmas who have come to try and save Scrooge from his bitter ways.

The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge events from his own past that demonstrate why he should turn over a new leaf.
The Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge the current situation where people both rich and poor revel in the spirit of Christmas. This includes showing him his nephew and Bob Crachit's families.
The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come is the most fearsome of the lot and shows him how he will end up without the warmth of humanity in him - cold and lonely.

All in the hopes that the Christmas spirit will spread to Ebenzer Scrooge and all who watch the movie, it wasn't half bad actually.

And it was actually the first time I was watching a movie in 3D (with the 3D glasses and all) which was pretty fun.
And not just the animation was impressive, I found it amazing that only a few actors voice so many difference characters in the movie.
Jim Carrey alone voice 8 characters including all 3 of the Ghosts.

Everyone loves a good Christmas movie and what better story than A Christmas Carol.

Final Verdict:
