Daybreakers

It is 2019 and almost the entire world's population have become vampires.
Humans are captured and farmed for their blood.
But human numbers are dwindling forcing vampires to find an alternative blood-substitute to sustain their hunger.

Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) is a scientist working on this blood-substitute while his brother Frankie (Michael Dorman), one of the foot soldiers who hunt humans, is against the idea of vampires drinking any other blood except human blood.
Corporate bigwig Charles Bromley (Sam Neill) doesn't care what blood is it as long as vampires survive and more importantly - money is made.

When humans Lionel "Elvis" Cormac (Willem Dafoe) and Audrey Bennett (Claudia Karvan) tell Edward that they have a cure - it hardly seems believable.

Is it truly possible to turn vampires back to human form or is it solely a choice between a civilized vampire or the primal Subsiders?

Well I guess this was a new twist on the whole vampire thing.
It's not really a new idea and to the movie seemed like something that was shot in the 90s or something.
Kind of a primitive action movie y'know what I mean.

And I can't help but feel that in this new season of 'vampire movie mania', the producers are just capitalizing on it.

Final Verdict:
