The Expendables

Watched With: My Dad & My Brother @ Cathay EHub (25/08)
Snacks: None
Genre: Action

Balls out action.

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Ying Yang (Jet Li), Toll Road (Randy Couture), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) and Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) are The Expendables - a group of mercenaries for hire.

An old buddy Tool (Mickey Rourke) arranges for a job.
For some it is for the money. For other, a chance for redemption.

The target is General Garza (David Zayas), a corrupt general who is actually a puppet in the drug world being controlled by James Munroe (Eric Roberts) and his right-hand man Dan Paine (Steve Austin).

With the help of local Sandra (Giselle ItiƩ), the boys are in for a rough ride.

Boy oh boy has it been so long since there was a balls-out action movie like this. I'm talking about good old killing people.
No time for all that lovey-dovey, sex-overdrive wussy stuff.
This is testosterone to the max. And some of the kills were pretty gruesome too!

It was so nice to see all our favourite action stars (even cameos by Bruce Willis & Arnold Schwarzenegger) all in one place.
But it was also kinda sad to see how old they are now.

But I still say watch it for the fun of it.
The key here - BALLS OUT ACTION!!!

And a little trivia - this movie almost included Steven Seagal, Wesley Snipes, Danny Trejo and Jean Claude Van Damme.
Imagine that.

No Chuck Norris though.

Final Verdict:
