The Wolfman

"I will kill ALL of you!"
Yeah. Death by boredom.

Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro) returns home to England to mourn the death of his brother.
His estranged father Sir John Talbot (Anthony Hopkins) is there to greet him as is his deceased brother's grieving fiance Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt).

Some people are saying that it is the work of the gypsies but some are saying that it was the work of a wild beast that killed John's brother.
And when John is bitten by this so-called werewolf, he finds himself slowly changing.

Come the full moon, he transforms into the Wolfman.
Detective Aberline (Hugo Weaving) arrives to solve the mystery surrounding the deaths in Blackmoor.
And somehow he finds that there is more going on than most people are willing to admit.
Is John Talbot really a Wolfman or is something more sinister afoot.

Oh I had such high hopes for this movie.
Mostly because I remember reading that Mark Romanek was attached to direct.
And then when the opening vredits started running, I saw the name 'Joe Johnston' as the director and I knew I'd made a mistake.
That's right. The man who gave us Jumanji, Jurassic Park III and Hidalgo had been entrusted with this project.

Not only was this movie boring.
It was poorly written and simply not gory or action-packed enough.
And to round things off - it was so predictable.

Sigh. At the end of the movie I felt like letting out a Wolfman's howl.

Final Verdict:
